Here at Buzzell, Welsh & Hill, we always look forward to choosing a winner for our annual college scholarship contest and seeing what creative ideas applicants come up with. This year, they delivered, submitting loads of incredible plans to improve and update our country’s driver education curriculum.

One plan truly stood out, however. That’s why we’re proud to announce that Thomas Burkhalter is our 3rd annual Buzzell, Welsh & Hill Scholarship Contest winner! Thomas is from Macon, GA, and will be attending the University of Georgia this fall as he studies Computer Information Systems. He came up with an idea for a new app to streamline and update driver’s ed curriculum.

With so many great entries, we had to recognize a few other outstanding submissions as our contest finalists. Parth Gandhi, Anne-Claire Tanner, and Christopher Myers all created unique, compelling driver education alternatives. We really appreciate all the hard work they put into their plans.

Congrats to Thomas Burkhalter. We hope that the $2,500 scholarship helps make it easier to pursue your dreams. Good luck at school next fall, and good luck to all of the finalists!
